This morning a few of Oksanas' doctors came in to examine her and set up tests and physical therapy for the next couple of weeks. It was during that time I realized we are 19 days away from her first 12 hour surgery. Wow!! They have her up to 9 pounds of traction and she has amazed everyone with how well she is doing. She has had minor issues and showing some signs of neurological symptoms that have not gone away but they are so slight and do not seem to affect her at all. She has been the light of every ones day here, and each day someone comes and shares with me how special they feel Oksana is. Today we met a woman from Virginia. He son has been a patient here on and off for five years. Oksana made up and sang her a song, then shared with her how great this hospital is and how although she wants to go home, this is where God wants her to be.. She touches every person who she meets, it blows me away.

As We Start Another Week
This picture was from yesterday. We had a visit with my friend Heiki and her son Rocco. For Oksana and me as well visits with people are the highlight of our day. Today marks two weeks here for us. Time has gone so slowly with many concerns along with some complications. The praise comes in when I look back over this time here and it has been full of opportunity to share with other families. Each day I see how much strength and endurance Oksana has as well as how she has recovered each time from the neurological issues that have been arising. God is here with us, no doubt about it. He continues to protect her and lifts us both up when we get scared.
Princess Oksana, wearing her bedazzled halo thanks to Aunt Joyce, along with her gown from our friend Heiki. How beautiful does she look.

One Day Later
Oksana had a rough night but is doing better today emotionally. She was going to start with the traction today but she is having some neurological issues. Today she woke up to weakness in her right leg. This hospital is amazing with all the care and attention Oksana has been given so far. Please pray that this issue resolves itself so that we can begin to move forward. From: 6095291611@mms.att.net

It is Time
It is 2:28 am. In about 2 1/2 hours we will be leaving for the hospital. I feel I will never be ready to leave my home for 3 to 4 months, and be okay with that. Oksana is the first surgery of the day, she had a great day and finally fell asleep about an hour ago. She went on a date with Reza and Alisa today, although Alisa went Oksana still felt as if her date was with Reza. They took her shopping at Claires where she bought hair extentions, then off to The Cheesecake Factory then to see Ice Age. It was a fun packed day, then once home, many friends stopped over and Darian gave her the ultimate gift. An Ipod.... she was in her glory..

planning some fun..
We were back at the hospital yesterday. There are some real issues for Oksana and her lungs. We now have to use a c pap to force oxygen into her lungs while she sleeps at night. The reason for this is the doctors concerns for her being intubated for long periods of time during and after her operations. Our first night using the machine proved that our nights will be difficult to say the least, but by now I am used to very little sleep. In two days the plans to go to Va. to swim, boat, fish and visit busch gardens. We want to do as many fun things as possible before we go in the hospital on the 21st.

This will be a combined blog. Many dates involved here . Can't believe it has been so long. It has been a very busy year with many physical changes for Oksana. Her condition has progressed greatly over the ast three months and she is sceduled for her first of three operations on The 22nd of this month. She will remain in the hospital for three or four months and will undergo operations that have never been done before. Last month she was placed in a body cast do to the fat that she had symptoms of spinal compression which can lead to paralysis. She is adjusting well to the cast and is a trooper with all she has to endure.
